Set up your budgets

Creating a budget is easy and extremely useful. Create a budget for a specific department, project or vendor, map transactions and avoid overspending.

1. Login into your TheoBuild Account. 
2. Click on “Spend Budget” tab.
3. Click on “Create Budget”.
4. Enter required information (i.e. Name, Owner, Amount, Categories, etc).

Set up your expense policy

The expense policy is designed to help you set-up a minimum amount for which your admin account would like to get notifications on transactions and when users need to submit receipts and memos.

1. Login into your TheoBuild Account. 
2. Click on settings. 
3. Click on Theo Card.
4. Click on expense policy.
5. Enter the minimum amount required for users need  to submit receipts and memos.

Set up spend categories

This set-up was designed to help your admin account get preset spend categories (i.e. Fuel, Material, Travel, etc.) so that users can easily assign to each transaction. Please note that these are not accounting categories.

1. Login into your TheoBuild Account. 
2. Click on settings.
3. Click on “Category”.
4. Select or create your spend categories.
